How long does Invisalign take?
Treatment typically takes 6–15 months for most cosmetic cases, and up to 18 months for more complex bite correction. You’ll see the projected length at your consultation, before committing.
Are the aligners really invisible?
The aligners are made from a clear, medical-grade plastic that is virtually undetectable from social distances when worn.
Does Invisalign hurt?
You may feel mild pressure for the first 2–3 days of each new aligner. That’s the teeth moving, exactly as planned. Most patients find it far more comfortable than fixed braces.
Can I eat and drink normally with Invisalign?
Yes. Take the aligners out to eat and for hot drinks. With cold drinks you can keep them in. There are no dietary restrictions. Just brush before popping them back in.
Is Invisalign as effective as braces?
For most cosmetic and clinical cases, yes. In some cases it’s even more effective. Modern Invisalign can treat crowding and gaps, along with bite problems such as overbite, underbite, crossbite or open bite, and it’s virtually invisible and removable.
How is treatment with a cosmetic dentist different?
Most clinics treat Invisalign as a standalone product. Dr. Albert plans every case as the first phase of cosmetic smile design, planning tooth movement around how the smile will look at the end, and what (if anything) you want to refine afterwards with whitening or bonding.

Will I need to wear retainers afterwards?
Yes. Discreet retainers worn at night protect your result for life. Without them, teeth will gradually drift back. We make this part of the plan from the very start. Most patients choose to have fixed retainers (at an additional fee) to ensure their teeth stay straight.
