General and cosmetic dentistry in Windsor by Dr. Albert Gajdos

Beyond the smile gallery

Quietly excellent
general dentistry.

The full range of high-quality general and restorative dentistry — delivered with the same materials, the same precision, and the same hand as our cosmetic work.

A wider range than most realise

Cosmetic dentistry is the headline.
The rest matters too.

Dr. Albert is best known for his cosmetic work — composite bonding, porcelain veneers, smile design. But every cosmetic case sits on top of a foundation of general dentistry: the fillings, the crowns, the root canals, the implants, the hygiene. Done well, none of it announces itself. Done badly, it undermines everything else.

What follows is the wider range of treatments we offer, beyond the smile gallery. Dr. Albert works alongside a team of experienced general dentists and specialists here at the clinic — so whatever you need, from a routine filling to more complex restorative or surgical work, there is an expert hand to look after it. Every treatment is delivered in-house, with the same careful aftercare and the same long-term thinking we bring to every cosmetic case.

What we offer

Eight quietly important things —
done well.

01

Internal Bleaching

For a single dark or "dead" tooth — typically one that has had a root canal and gradually discoloured. The whitening agent is placed inside the tooth itself, lifting the colour from within so the tooth blends back into the smile without needing a veneer or crown.

Treats
Single dark / non-vital teeth
Visits
2–3 short visits
02

ICON Resin Infiltration

A non-invasive treatment for the white spots and decalcification that are often developmental, or can appear after braces. A specialised resin infiltrates the chalky surface and restores natural translucency — no drilling, no anaesthetic, completed in a single visit.

Treats
White spots, post-orthodontic marks
Visits
Single visit, no drilling
03

Composite (white) fillings

Modern tooth-coloured composite fillings — placed using the same artistic layering technique we use for cosmetic bonding. We also remove old amalgam (mercury) fillings and replace them with composite that looks like enamel and bonds to the tooth.

Treats
Cavities, old amalgam replacement
Visits
Single visit
04

Crown replacement

Old crowns — particularly those with dark metal edges, worn surfaces, or that no longer match the shade of surrounding teeth — replaced with modern, hand-crafted ceramic crowns. The same master ceramist who crafts our porcelain veneers makes our crowns.

Treats
Worn, discoloured or metal-edged crowns
Visits
2–3 visits over 2–3 weeks
05

Root canals

Modern rotary endodontic treatment to save a compromised tooth. With current instruments and techniques, root canals are far more comfortable than their reputation suggests — most patients describe them as no more difficult than a routine filling.

Treats
Infected or severely damaged teeth
Visits
1–2 visits
06

Dental implants

Single-tooth and multi-tooth replacement using leading premium implant systems. The full implant journey — assessment, placement, and final crown — is delivered in-house with the wider Smile Rooms team. Stable, lasting, and matched to the rest of the smile.

Treats
Missing teeth, failing teeth
Visits
Multi-stage over 3–6 months
07

Bite splints & grinding guards

Custom-made night splints to protect your teeth and jaw from grinding (bruxism) and clenching. Particularly important after cosmetic work — bonding, veneers and crowns all benefit from the protection of a properly designed splint.

Treats
Tooth wear, jaw pain, post-cosmetic protection
Visits
2 short visits
08

Examinations & hygiene

Comprehensive examinations and professional hygiene appointments — the routine care that keeps everything else (cosmetic and otherwise) looking and working at its best. Honest assessment, modern protocols, no rushed appointments.

Treats
Long-term oral health
Visits
Every 6 months

Honest pricing

Quoted at consultation.
Always transparent.

Pricing for these treatments varies considerably depending on what's needed — there are no honest one-size-fits-all numbers. Every plan is quoted in full at consultation, with complete transparency before anything starts. 0% finance is available for larger treatment plans.

Want to know more?

Common questions, straight answers.

Do you offer NHS treatment?

No — we are a fully private practice. This means longer appointments, modern materials, and the time to do everything to a high standard.

Can I change my silver amalgam fillings (mercury fillings) for white fillings?

Yes — it's both possible and very common. Replacing old silver amalgam (mercury) fillings with modern, tooth-coloured white fillings is a routine treatment we carry out safely at our Windsor clinic. It offers a genuine cosmetic benefit — a natural, metal-free smile — as well as the reassurance of removing ageing mercury fillings. We'll assess your existing fillings and recommend the right approach at your consultation.

How long does a root canal take?

Most root canals are completed in 1–2 visits using modern rotary endodontic instruments. They are far more comfortable than their reputation suggests — most patients describe them as no more difficult than a routine filling.

Are dental implants done in-house?

Yes. The full implant journey — assessment, placement, and crown — is delivered in-house with the wider Smile Rooms team. We use leading premium implant systems for predictable, long-lasting results.

How much do these treatments cost?

Pricing varies considerably depending on what's needed. Each treatment is quoted at consultation, with full transparency before anything starts. 0% finance is available for larger treatment plans.
