What is composite bonding?

A reshape, a rebuild, a restoration — without damaging healthy tooth tissue.

Composite bonding is the most transformative treatment in modern cosmetic dentistry — and the most artistic. Tooth-coloured composite resin is layered, sculpted, and polished by hand, directly onto your existing teeth. In most cases there's no anaesthetic and no damage or permanent visual change to your natural tooth structure.

For Dr. Albert, every smile is designed from scratch — for your face, your features, and the result you want. Whether that's a subtle, natural enhancement or something brighter and bolder, the answer is in the artistry.

Single-visit transformation

Walk in with the smile you have. Walk out with the smile you wanted. A single visit, no temporaries, no waiting.

Hand-sculpted artistry

Every tooth is layered tooth-by-tooth in multiple shades, then polished to mimic real enamel. The result: a smile that doesn't announce itself as work.

Minimally-invasive

No damage to natural teeth & no injections in most cases. Your natural tooth structure stays intact — making this the gentlest entry point to cosmetic dentistry.

Stage one

Consultation, smile design & whitening.

  1. 01

    Consultation & Smile Design

Dr. Albert will sit down with you to discuss your vision — what you want, what you don't, how you want to feel when you smile — and plan every detail of your smile design around that. You'll see and approve the proposed shape before any treatment begins.

  2. 02

    Bespoke at-home tooth whitening

Most patients whiten their natural teeth first — with custom-fitted, dentist-supervised whitening trays moulded to your teeth and worn at home over two to three weeks. We then match every layer of your bonding to that brighter, refreshed shade, so the result feels effortlessly natural and never added on.

Stage two

Your composite bonding appointment.

  1. 01

    Shade & Style

Together we choose the shade and the style — natural or Hollywood. The right answer depends on your skin tone, your features, and the way you want to feel when you smile.

  2. 02

    Hand-Sculpted Bonding

Composite resin is layered tooth-by-tooth, shaped and contoured by hand. No damage to natural teeth. No injections in most cases. Just artistry, layered with multiple shades for natural depth.

  3. 03

    Polish & Reveal

Each surface is meticulously polished to a high-gloss finish that mimics natural enamel. You leave with a fully transformed smile — same day, same visit.

  4. 04

    Aftercare & Review

You'll get clear aftercare guidance and a complimentary review appointment. We're here for the long term — and any future refinements are simple.

Where the difference lives

Not all composite bonding is the same.

There are good reasons why patients fly into Windsor for this treatment — and why we don't compete on price with high-street fast-fix clinics.

Smile Rooms Windsor Dr. Albert UK High Street Standard bonding Overseas Fast-fix clinics
Material Premium nano-hybrid composite — multiple shades layered for natural result Single-shade resin Imported acrylic, often pre-formed
Application Hand-sculpted by Dr. Albert, tooth by tooth Bulk-applied, lightly contoured Pre-formed shells bonded over teeth
Treatment time Single visit, in-house Single or multi-visit 1–3 days abroad, no follow-up
Lifespan 5–8 years, often longer 3–7 years, more likely to chip or stain Frequent failure within 12–24 months
Aftercare 2–4 week after-treatment review, 1-year guarantee, affordable repairs and maintenance Variable — depends on clinic, often no guarantee No UK-based aftercare available

A word from your dentist

Composite bonding is sculpture. The composite is the same — what changes the result is the hand and the eye behind it. I designed every smile in our gallery the same way I'd design my own: tooth by tooth, in multiple shades, until it seamlessly perfects your smile and blends with your natural teeth.

Want to know more?

Common questions, straight answers.

How long does composite bonding last?

With proper care, composite bonding typically lasts 5–8 years before any refresh is needed — and it can last even longer if maintained well. Small touch-ups are far simpler than the original treatment.

Does composite bonding damage my natural teeth?

No. Composite bonding is one of the most conservative cosmetic treatments available. In most cases no tooth structure is removed — the composite is simply added on top of your existing enamel. In many cases, it's in effect reversible.

How long does a composite bonding appointment take?

Most full smile transformations are completed in a single visit, with short, comfortable breaks throughout.

Will composite bonding look natural?

Absolutely. Dr. Albert uses a layering technique with multiple shades to replicate the natural translucency and depth of real teeth. Whether you choose a subtle natural look or a brighter Hollywood finish, the result is always tailored to your face.

Can composite bonding fix gaps and chips?

Yes. Gaps, chips, uneven edges, discolouration and minor misalignment can all be addressed with composite bonding — without braces, drilling or veneers. For more severe spacing or wear, Invisalign or porcelain veneers/crowns may be the preferred option.

Does composite bonding hurt?

No. The vast majority of patients need no anaesthetic at all — there's no damage to natural teeth and no nerve disturbance. Many describe it as the most relaxed dental appointment they've ever had.

Can I still whiten my teeth after composite bonding?

Yes — but the bonding itself won't change colour with whitening gels. Many patients whiten their natural teeth first, then we match the bonding to that new, brighter shade.

How much does composite bonding cost?

Composite bonding is £480 per tooth, with more complex cases priced accordingly. Every smile is bespoke, so your final quote is confirmed at consultation. 0% finance is available.
